Our April ePortfolio of the month is Ana Bolivar. Ana is a graduate student in the Media and Communication Arts program here at Pace. She was only introduced to ePortfolio last semester, but she has already developed an outstanding collection of pages.
Ana uses numerous images to illustrate her different experiences. There are pictures of her working as a mechanical engineer, doing volunteer work, and traveling. On her page Colombia: The Land of Coffee, Ana displays beautiful photos of her family and the local agriculture of her native country.
“Putting together the ePortfolio was a challenging experience, but mostly because I knew my final grade was tied to it,” Ana said. Ana had to put her ePortfolio together for her final project in Dr. Pulaski-Behling’s “Industry Theory and Practice” course. In the end, Ana not only found using ePortfolio to be easier than she expected, but that it allowed her “to be creative in a way that [she] couldn’t in some of [her] other assignments.”
