Every month we highlight remarkable student ePortfolios. Keep up with the monthly honorees by following us @atechpaceu!
We’d like to introduce you to Cassandra Meduri. This Honors accounting major in the Lubin Business School caught our attention this month at one of our ePortfolio events hosted by the Pleasantville Honors College. It is evident from her ePortfolio that Cassandra is involved in school, as well as her community. She excels in her classes and is enjoying the five year accounting program! Take a look at Cassandra’s digital story on her Academic Materials page.
This student was accepted into the Honors College after completing her freshman year. She chronicles this and her other activities on her co-curricular/extracurricular activities page, including Business Honors Program, the International Economics Honor Society, Tau Sigma National Honor Society, and Lambda Sigma.
This ePortfolio of the Month winner learned about ePortfolios in her sophomore English course. At first she was confused since there were so many different options for uploading items to pages. However, She quickly got the hang of it and made good use of these different options! “ePortfolio is a great [way] to help showcase school work,” Cassandra told us. She added that resumes are so brief that they only give employers a professional side of a candidate, but often leave out their academic or personal side. We agree with Cassandra’s reasoning, which is why we believe employers Want ePortfolios!
Cassandra plans on showing employers her professional portfolio pages. Her favorite aspect of ePortfolio is the ability to showcase awards as images: “When you list those achievements on a resume it doesn’t seem as big of a deal compared to seeing all the certificates and letters!”
